This particular rubber works better for stamped wheels than it does for casting, though. The rubber is not terrible overall, and because of its softness, it is quite quiet. Additionally, the car is solid and does a good job of holding corners. Purchased tires measuring 185-55-15. Has pros: The rubber is quite malleable, the wheels make almost no noise at all, and it grips the road (dry asphalt) very effectively. Having these drawbacks: very soft cord and rubber sides; as a result, there was not enough rubber even for the season; as a result, three wheels were pierced in three days due to small holes; one tire was pierced in dry weather, and two wheels were pierced in wet weather. The rubber is molded, and it appears that this is an essential part of it, as the side of the tire that is damaged upon impact is the one that receives the impact. Three wheels have suffered damage to the rim in the form of tears rather than cuts on all three sides. In the rain, when you drive through a little puddle, the car throws a little, and you have to hold the steering wheel tighter than normal; this did not happen with previous tires.
