When I was teaching my German Shepherd mix puppy to walk with her first training collar, she quickly learned that when she pulls or pulls on the leash she begins to tighten. Soon enough, the sound of the training collar being put on would be reminder enough of what she needed. When she outgrew this puppy training collar, I chose a leather collar instead of her normal everyday collar. But unfortunately as she got older and wiser (1 year old) she started to revert to her puppy-like way of pulling or pulling. her leash when she sees another dog, bird, rabbit, human. Apparently she has forgotten all the good habits she learned as a puppy and will go back to pretending she's never seen another dog. Shameful and difficult to control! So I bought this larger training collar specifically for our walks. I noticed again that she doesn't pull as hard on the leash when she realizes she's wearing a collar. Of course she still has her moments when she forgets, but in general she's much more considerate of me and doesn't pull every time she feels like it. an adult German Shepherd mix who is attracted to the rabbits she encounters on our walks.
