My son liked it. The material worked great too. I'm glad I measured it and used the size chart provided because it would fit my normal size, but the chart helped me go up a size and I think that means it will last through the summer . The stuff was great. All I want to say is a sedative. this is the belt of the shorts. The waistband is not gathered, it is fixed with an elastic waistband with a drawstring. THIS IS AN ELASTIC BELT WITH A TIE. but it is sewn like the hem of a shirt with an elastic band. When the elastic is placed correctly, I like it. But I found that I had to roll and maneuver the rubber band before he put it on or it would roll and curl up. But he loves it and kids can be picky so I'll take it as a win!
