Review on πŸ”Œ ACDelco Professional 11A508 Power Window Regulator with Motor - Rear Passenger Side by Rob Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits power window and motor assemblies

2005 Yukon XL Passenger Rear Window. After watching a few YouTube videos to get an idea of what it's all about, I ordered the part. There were two 7mm screws to remove the door panel. One under the armrest and the other in the lower left corner. I used a screwdriver to remove the door latch plate (don't forget to remove the door latch plate as it will break if you leave it), the cover over the latch and the power window switch. The door panel then lifts up. There were no tear-out clips. There are two plastic guides on the underside of the panel that push the panel into place. Don't forget to pick it up. don't undress. I then raised the window to the closed position and had my son tape about five pieces of blue tape around the door and window. It held him in place. It is very important to use a large amount of tape. I don't want the window to fall on the door. The band should hold it well. I then peeled off the weatherproof sheeting at four corners to gain access to the screws for the levers and motor. It is not necessary to remove all of this. I then loosened the two 7mm nuts holding the window to the brackets and freed the window from the brackets. I shut off the engine and removed an 8mm bolt holding it in place. I removed the other four 8mm bolts from the arms and pulled the whole thing out of the big hole. Make sure you watch it carefully when it comes out as the new one will go the same way. Bolt the new arms and motor into place, connect the motor and CAREFULLY remove the tape from the window and lower it into the clips on the new arms. Dress slowly. Replace the door panel and you're done.
