The 8 inch ruler was perfect for my needs but the 12 inch ruler broke.
I wanted to use it in the scanner and you can see the 8 inch ruler above. In fact, an 8.5 inch ruler would be ideal. The packaging was poor and the 12 inch ruler was probably broken. Since I only wanted 8 inches, I wasn't upset. They're pretty thin, which is good for me, but they break if poorly packaged.
