I bought this scale in addition to my Chemex (Chemex classic range, cast glass coffee maker, 6 cup) and kettle (Bonavita 1.0L temperature controlled flexible neck digital kettle). I didn't think I really needed that kind of precision when brewing coffee, but I didn't even come close to what I thought I was brewing. I didn't have enough grind and I used too much water. Now my coffee is smooth and tasty. Time contributes to this consistency and ensures my bloom and rest are always the same. I would buy this again.
