Review on πŸ‡ Black Non-Stick Spiral Rabbit Wing Corkscrew by Domonique Rieder

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Has some construction flaws

On the other hand, this corkscrew is solid and heavy. It feels like it's going to take a long time. It opens wine bottles and has a bottle opener, but has some significant drawbacks. On the negative side: 1) The two halves of the neckpiece are small and fit most bottles satisfactorily, but a few bottles I've tried have a really hard time fitting the bottle. 2) The top of the opener that you twist to remove the cork would work better if it was bigger - more leverage. 3) After I removed the cork, the "wings" on the corkscrew's body flapped, pinching my palm so hard it almost bled. The black plastic body has sharp edges and the wings fit snugly inside, creating a crushing hazard. Be careful! 4) After the plug comes out, you need to remove the cable from the spiral screw. The idea is to squeeze the sides of the corkscrew to grab the cork to "unscrew" it, but it can't grab the cork enough that the cork just spins. I had to use pliers to remove the connector from the screw. I have cheaper and simpler corkscrews that work better than this one. It looks great but has so many design flaws that I can't recommend it.
