Review on 🏠 White Google Nest Protect S3000BWES - Battery-Operated Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector by Aaron Villanueva

No problems for 6 months, then SMS notification at 5am, 2 hours vacation left, due to smoke, then smoke subsided. A friend checked for fire, thank goodness, nothing (a really nice person came to see me at 6am!) and no more false alarms until first night home, exhausted, fire alarm went off twice at 2am. So, two big false positives in one week, read every month about opening and dusting as a possible solution - no. The 3rd gen should be able to tell you it's a bug or dust during normal waking hours, but until then I'm back to the old dumb smoke detector, sigh. Great idea as long as it doesn't let you down when you're gone.
