Calling this device a "print server" does not meet customer expectations. I've installed and configured many print servers and it's not exactly the same. Although you can select DHCP or a static IP address, this does not make the device available for printing. The client utility must be installed on each computer that will have access to the device. Others say that only one client can be "connected" to the device (via a utility) at a time. I haven't tried it, but that would be a big problem for those who are used to every computer on the network using the printer. The device works. At home we can deal with the "only oneβ constraint. However, next time I will buy something else for home or work. I would like Trendnet to update the firmware so that the device can act as a traditional print server.
