Review on MOOG K9513 Ball Joint: Enhanced Stability for Smooth Performance by Mike Littlejohn

Revainrating 1 out of 5

questionable build quality

UPDATE 2/15/17 So this is total crap! Sure there are no oil leaks or cracks on anything under the car and below and here is the replacement ball joint that I had to wait a week for from the first order. EVERYTHING DID NOT GIVE UP! I haven't even driven 3,000 miles on these things. , and it's already spat out all the lube (note the entire backplate on my JDM Enkei wheels). I can't speak for Moog products from Germany or other countries, but the ones from Mexico are utterly useless. and their quality control is as good as Chinese crap. ** DON'T LOSE MONEY ** Buy one OEM and be done, ordered two because both of my OEM's lived to their last days. Parts were delivered/received very quickly which was amazing, installed as expected. I was going to fit a second one after I removed my old ball joint, opened the box and found the bottom trunk retaining clip had come loose?!?! Now I'm stuck with my car on jack stands waiting for a replacement part which ironically will now take 5 days to show up (from the same distributor, no idea why the replacement is taking so long). Also, as another member put it, I checked the box for parts that were made in Mexico. Hoping to agree with them when in doubt, but I know production standards in Mexico aren't as high as say in the US, Japan or Germany. Let's see

Pros
  • FULL COATING -- Available for foreign and domestic nameplates
Cons
  • questionable purchase for seniors
