Helps with odor immediately after cat uses box. You spray it in a box and it leaves a light finish that is darker than your filler. It helps with the smell but the next time my cat uses the box the smell comes back. My cats didn't want to use the box either after I sprayed them in there. I usually use a powder product which helps more than this product but not by much. This spray works well but you need to keep using it. So as long as you know that, you're fine. The key to a clean-smelling trash can is to clump the trash up and empty it thoroughly every few weeks. These products help, but are not a complete remedy.
