Too much for most applications? Yes. Lifesaver, when do you need extra range? Absolutely. You've already saved me a headache. Outstretched transom cables for a new sonar on his boat. There were a few spots under the floor that I just couldn't reach to run the cables. These things provided additional coverage and saved me a lot of time trying to build something for it.
