They break down all the time and need to be replaced regularly.

They keep breaking and I have to keep replacing them. There is a piece of plastic on the swivel joint that keeps breaking off. This is clearly a design or material defect. They actually last a few years, but when I have 40 or so in my kitchen it seems like I always replace one or two of these, so I always have a spare on hand. They were installed in my kitchen and due to the design of the door I didn't have a great deal of alternatives so I keep buying and replacing a few at a time. If I were building new cabinets I would definitely not use these hinges.
