I chose this toaster because of the long slots for toasting wide slices of bread. It works the same way and has pretty much the same features as any other toaster I've had in the last 30 years so it's fine. This is about buying a toaster. will i love it will i hate it Probably not either. I've been using it for a week now, so far so good. It gets hotter inside than my old toaster, but most of the outside stays at room temperature. I like the big timer. My old one was hard to read. I also like that the top shows how to put the bagel in so it only toasts the cut side. That's a big plus for me. You must read the instructions. When my toast was only browned on one side, I checked the directions. I had to read them before putting my bread in, so I flipped the slices and toasted the other sides. If you want a toaster that bakes bread perfectly every time, you'll have to shell out a few hundred bucks. I know last year, in a fit of toaster rage, I searched the internet for the perfect toaster and realized I hate my old toaster SO much.
