Comes with a cord with a switch and plug and a chain and hook - can also be used for a corded connection.
I didn't realize it had a cord with switch and plug when I bought it - I first looked for a chain and thought the cord would come in handy when the one that came with my flashlight wasn't long enough, to swag where we needed it. In the end, however, all we needed was a chain and a hook. This is a pretty complete free lighting kit and a great DIY option if you want to show off your light. We used a mid-century modern light fixture and it looks great!
