This material is really great to help me clean my tank. I've listed the pros and cons below to help you decide. Pros 1) It's cheap 2) It keeps my tank looking good and gets rid of algae 3) It doesn't change the color of my water Cons 1) I don't like having to remove the carbon filter 2) I wish there were more tablets in the Box. This box holds 80 gallons of water. It just depends on how much you need. 3) I'm not 100% sure how safe this product is for fish. This may seem ridiculous as my fish look amazing, but I'm wondering if this will increase their chances of getting cancer or other diseases in the long run. The box states that the product is a known carcinogen in the State of California. And on the back are some dire warnings that it's illegal to use it for anything other than what's on the box. I take it they don't want you poisoning people with it? However, it didn't kill any of my fish. Other useful information: It usually takes a week for the full effect to be felt. Also, it seems my tank only gets cleaned for a month or two. I think if you leave the lights on for too long the algae will always find their way back. All in all, if I want to rid my aquarium of algae, this is my product. I highly recommend this product and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
