Review on Mevotech MK80592 Idler Arm by John Pound

Just received and a few things that caught my eye right away. It feels less bulky than the OEM it replaces as it is narrower and the mounting plate appears to be smaller than the OEM. Also, it almost looked like a refurbished unit that had worn out, which made me wonder if this had been installed anywhere before? Also, one of the welds on the mounting plate appears to be cracked and slightly rusty. Finally, I have an aftermarket reinforced plate and this assembly will not work with it as the diameter of the shaft on the end screw is actually larger on this one, forcing me to remove the reinforcement brace. I already installed it so too lazy to bring it back. I will definitely buy a different brand next time.
