Review on Hefty Recycling Trash Bags - Blue, 13 Gallon Size, Pack of 60 Count by Linda Rodgers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Violent? Terribly thin bags, very easy to tear

Styrofoam and plastic grocery bags are allowed in my city but they must be put in clear bags for recycling so I bought these. They are only 13 gallons and very small. That was my fault. I should have found something else. Yesterday I cleared out my closets, yarn and fabric supplies. The hospice to which I will be donating these items will not accept items in boxes. Clear bags are ok, but these bags are OFF! They are thin and tear easily. Big disappointment. Hefty has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but do I have to pay for shipping back to Revain? pff! It's not very pleasant. Also, I'm confused by the technical details of the things on this list. Apparently it's corundum. Do you know what corundum is? It is an extremely hard aluminum oxide. It's a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. Rubies and sapphires are corundum. These bags are .7 mil. Next time I'll go with 40 gallons and at least 1.2 mil.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
