I have never used copper coated automotive aluminum wire so only time will tell if it will hold up to my application which is the 12V power cable -Brake control. I used 10 gauge wire instead of 12 gauge wire as the instructions call for. I know from home wiring codes that you must use larger aluminum wire instead of copper wire. I would be careful where I use it as aluminum can corrode causing loss of performance. I would suggest using a good electrical lube on all joints to slow corrosion.
