Too thick - expect spatter.
These are oddly 'blunt' serrated grapefruit spoons - the serrated edge of the spoon is too thick so when you try to slice grapefruit, only the juice spurts out. Better to use a butter knife. They're completely useless as grapefruit spoons, but they still come in handy for removing seeds like spaghetti squash or walnut squash (that's the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1).
