Decent strap, especially for the money. While the belt itself appears to be fairly well made and I would trust it up to 80% of its rated capacity (I never trust a belt at its maximum capacity, although the manufacturer usually puts in a safety margin, I prefer a larger margin). Metal hooks are junk. They are cast from very cheap, low quality metal with even cheaper spring clasps and I ripped them apart with a handsaw in seconds. Additionally, they're very heavy for their size, no doubt trying to compensate for the lousy metal by adding bulk for strength. I've replaced them with lighter, stronger D-rings that I trust, at least to the limits of the belt. For light towing such as an ATV or small tractor this would be fine, but for something larger like a compact car or light truck I recommend using quality hooks on both ends.
