I have a 10ft fiber optic ladder but sometimes I need a ladder longer than 10ft and the ladders are bulky and take up too much room on the Bottom one so it's like a 15. The 5ft telescoping extension ladder was the perfect solution for my needs. It came in a box along with a pair of gloves and a storage bag which I thought was cool. I've never owned a ladder with a storage bag but I think it makes sense as this telescoping ladder folds down to a much smaller size and then packs into a bag. The storage bag itself is also well designed with a shoulder strap and space to manually lift and hold the ladder. It fits perfectly and accommodates the stairs. The ladder is a little heavy, but I would prefer a sturdy ladder to a thin one, especially if I'm relying on it to get up. Extending the telescopic ladder was easy with a simple pull on each part, which automatically locks into place. If necessary, the ladder can be extended very easily and quickly. I actually 100% lengthened the stairs to 15.5 feet in my backyard so I could change the headlight bulb and feel comfortable and confident climbing the fifth highest step from the top. .Retracting the ladder was not as easy as pulling it out due to its weight. You just have to push in both latches for each section and it will slide down automatically, but you just have to be careful not to get your hands in the way as it's heavy and can fall off pretty quickly. Overall I am very happy with this telescopic ladder and think it will serve me for a lifetime. I love the fact that it doesn't take up one side of my garage like my 10 foot ladder does. Highly recommend this telescopic ladder if you occasionally need an extension ladder and storage space when not in use is important.
