First of all they don't track their package so you don't know the exact date of arrival. Be aware of this. Mine got lost in the mail but they were great to work with and they sent me another set. I have been given a tag for each of my dogs and for each set of keys with phone numbers that I have. That way someone can call the right numbers if the dogs get lost, the keys get lost, or someone with the keys gets into a situation where they can't provide a phone number to call. I think they are perfect for all of these situations. . I am not sure if they are engraved. They don't look exactly the same of course, but I noticed that they have a layer of ink that appears to have been removed in places of the writing, so it could be a very shallow engraving. I'll know more about persistence in a few weeks. For now it seems worth the price paid. Update: It's been over 2 weeks. My husband carries his keys in his pocket with a fob almost all day every day and they go through hell. It also shows that it is actually engraved. So this is the worst that this day can see. If you're like me, a year from now your day will look like this. Mine has a few little creases here and there. The ones on the dogs are not damaged at all. They generally wear off, but no more so than expensive pet store labels. They are still legible even with a lot of wear.
