Review on Peugeot BALI FONTE 36621 Pepper by Eldrick Carlton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Fur. Very low capacity, sometimes difficult to turn/grind, unpredictable results

I would call it "vanity bits and pieces" lol. It looks cool sitting on a desk, but its functionality is marginal at best. First, it contains a very small amount of pepper, so you're constantly replenishing it. Second, for some reason the mechanism seems to grind metal on metal and is sometimes difficult to turn no matter how hard you set the grind. And setting your grind size is pretty random. You loosen the lid to get a coarser grind, and after a while it'll grind back to dust-sized particles. Would I buy it again? No, I will not. While I appreciate the aesthetic, there's a limit to "form over function" and this piece fails the basic functional test. I've used the best pepper mills that cost $5.

Pros
  • Peugeot chopper cuts peppercorns into small portions before grinding. Chopped peppers stay fresher longer than ground peppers
Cons
  • A few bits and pieces
