Review on Z-Wave Plus Temperature and Light Sensor Strips - Enhanced Comfort for Indoor/Outdoor Use, Compatible with SmartThings by Jeremy Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If it could cause frustration, it could just explode.

**UPDATE** After working with support they asked me to check the Z-Wave frequency of the sensor. It turns out that although it was listed as a US 900+MHz Zwave product, I received the UK version (800s frequency due to 900+ frequency restrictions). :: Major Facepalm :: I got Britain back. sensor and try again. This time I got the correct US sensor. It only took 5-10 minutes to pair with my smart things and now everything works fine - the sensor is accurate and responsive. Location. **Original Review (Seller Shipped UK Version to US)** This has been the most annoying and frustrating experience I've had with all the smart stuff since I got it. And that includes days of writing/troubleshooting mains core pistons and reinstalling my house so I can use neutral switches. Pros: This sensor is tiny, has a low profile, and fits very well. Cons: - After 2 days of trying, had 1 attempt to download and install custom device handlers, watched every video I could find, read "instructions" over and over, and even contacted support (no response yet). I have no luck getting this to connect to my hub. - When I slide a magnet over the sensor as shown, the LED flashes do not match what is described in the instructions. - When selecting a device in the menu of a new SmartThings device, instructions are displayed that do not match the device - number of attempts, attempts, etc. should the battery be discharged? I suppose. It's been 12 hours since I contacted support. I'll update this when /whrn I get a reply. I am currently on the verge of sending it back. *Cm. update above*
