Whether you're camping, need a sharp knife for work, or just need a portable rock, you can't beat this little guy. I camp/hike a lot and this keeps a razor sharp. Weighs only a few ounces to take with you kayaking, fishing, camping, etc. Much lighter than a normal stone. As long as you don't use your knife for crazy shenanigans, it stays razor sharp. This is normal as you cannot repair a worn or chipped blade, but as a maintenance tool it is a must have. I have 4 of these and if you tell me that I enjoy the outdoors you will find this in my backpack every time. It's small so don't expect to be able to sharpen a machete unless you have special skills. Works well for a 5 1/2 inch blade that I usually carry with me.
