I've had terrible problems with Blue Green Algae, BGA, in my 20 year tank. I've tried everything including multiple cycles of erythromycin. Happened for several days but came back even worse. I was scared to try this product after reading reviews saying it killed fish, but still gave it a try as a last resort. I thought maybe the "cleaning bacteria" would outperform the cyanobacteria. All I can say is WOW. I don't know how it works but my tank has been clean for a month now and looks better than ever! When I vacuum the gravel, a lot less dirt is vacuumed up, so the product should eat it up. I haven't noticed any problems with my fish and most of them are small pickaxes that are usually sensitive to change. If you have trouble with BGA, try it!
