Bad watering? Didn't fit until repaired.
I am an automotive technician with over 15 years of experience. We had to order one of these for a customer who didn't want to spend dealer prices. I had it overnight. Everything was good except the part that is pressed into the block with the o-ring was too big. I used vernier calipers and measured the standard, this one and this one was 3mm larger. catch-up failed. I had to use a grinder to grind the diameter to get it to fit properly. Wasn't worth the money saved. Maybe that was it. Only this one was a bad cast, but I doubt it.
