That makes me a great BBQ chef!

Like most apps, this app needs a lot of work. But still I LOVE the gear! Seems very accurate. Before I bought this I was just guessing how long to cook steak, chicken, pork chops, etc. Rarely have I ever been able to cook a perfectly cooked steak or juicy chicken that was actually fully cooked. I used a clinical thermometer. a while with my grill and once in the oven to bake a bun. I usually place one sensor in the holder that comes with the grill/oven temp gauge and place the second sensor in one of the cuts of meat. Incidentally, I've found that the temperature in my oven fluctuates quite a bit in the range of 25 degrees or more. The weakest point of this thermometer is the application. I hate that I can't just turn off the alarm when it goes off unless I catch it right away. The only way I found is to remove the alarms. But I like how it has preset alerts for most major products, including rare drugs. rare, medium, honey. well done beef, veal, and lamb, plus preset temperatures for pork, chicken, turkey, fish, burgers, and multiple smoked options. You can also create and save your own settings for items not listed, e.g. B. Oven temperature, e.g. B. 350 and 450 degrees, which I use frequently. Another point I like is the ability to set a high and low temperature alert. For example, if you want an indoor grill to cook around 400, you can set the lower limit to 350 and the upper limit to 450. It notifies you when any of these values are violated. I cooked some chicken breasts the other day and didn't realize it was raining to cool the grill down. I grabbed my umbrella and increased the temperature a bit. Yes, I only use the app at its basic levels (to keep track of temperature) and don't use charts, but I had the brilliant idea of taking an old phone and setting it up so that the screen doesn't go to sleep. I keep this old phone in the kitchen and just turn it off when I'm done cooking. To use your old phone, just plug it in, start it up, turn on Wi-Fi to download the app and turn on Bluetooth to connect to the thermometer. My wife loves the amazing BBQ chef I've become! I constantly surprise them with perfectly cooked food.
