Review on πŸ“’ 9X12 Black Sketch Pad: Spiral-Bound Book of 32 Sheets Crisp Black Perforated Paper - Sketchpad by Jessica Lewis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The surface of the paper is NOT smooth, too stained for colored pencils

I needed black paper for drawing with colored pencil and in the review everyone said that this paper is black and black which is true BUT it didn't mention the surface of the paper, it looks like grains of sand inside - "lumpy". Me too I don't use cheap colored pencils. I only use Luminance, Polychromos, Pablos, Derwent Lightfast. These are NOT my pens. Tear-Off to rip out the paper. Disadvantages: - SAND surface. Not matte like a pastel, but random bumps all over. - Even with a tear line, you can still easily tear the paper when removing, use scissors. Since the surface is not smooth, it is difficult to mix colors with it. Final Verdict: This paper might be good for practice (with cheap pens), but it's definitely NOT the quality you need to fill orders. on the. To be honest I don't even want to practice on this paper because the surface gets so "lumpy" - I think I'll give it to my 7 year old niece for her art project instead. -Black --- ES now has smoother surface and true black color.
