Eliminates the need to cut off the stock stereo wiring harness plug to connect a second stereo system. The only problem was that it was a bit difficult to get the bulky plugs out of the way so I could fully plug in the radio. Keep in mind that you may need to purchase an antenna plug adapter as the OEM VW radio uses a non-standard one. I've also found that the radio stays on when the key is turned off and removed, requiring you to turn it on and off manually. This can be fixed by swapping the red and orange wires, but haven't tried it yet.
