Our two dogs - one old and the other just a year old - picked up the signal pretty quickly.

WOW. I was skeptical as my dogs ran out from behind the fence every day. And I've had a buried wire in the past that seemed to break badly and a dog that ran away anyway. But it totally worked! Our two dogs - one old and the other just a year old - picked up the signal pretty quickly. The "exercise program" they recommend is pretty exhausting (30 days!) but I'd say 3-4 days and these pets were fine. They haven't escaped - it's been weeks! - and I'm so incredibly happy. They also!
