I advise; If you have a mat you will either need to take it off or remove part of it as you will need all the space you can get as the screws need to be installed as straight as possible. After that, the installation takes 10-15 minutes. Took me about 35-40 minutes to install it because the sheet was in the way. All you need is some oil on the bolts, a punch tool, some decent coordination and you're done. I also recommend drilling the screws first and then mounting the plate. So first pre-drill, then assemble the rest. The only thing I didn't like was that you had to wiggle the handle in the mount to lock it. It was painful, but I guess it's for strength. Apart from that I love these. They are great for the price and appear to be well made. The time will show. Otherwise, I recommend them for your truck.
