I bought this set because my friends were trying virtual reality for the first time. I know I can sweat a little while wearing the Vive headset, so I didn't want other guys to share the sweat all day. The standard pads that come with the Vive are simply foam. They hold moisture like crazy so they can get pretty rough after a long game. However, these 3 pads are covered with soft leather (or leather-like material) that is easy to wash. I also found these ear pads to be much more comfortable than the ones that came with my Vive headset. They are just as easy to switch on and off as the standard upholstery, So changing the padding for the next player only took a few seconds. It's a good product at a great price, especially if you share your Vive with other users. At just under $7 for a notebook, I think that's a lot.
