Doesn't really fit the original HTC Vive

Bought these as a cheap alternative to the genuine Vive face pads and they seem to fit. They attach to the headset with Velcro, but cover part of the lens at the top, pushing the nose support up into your line of sight. Also if you are like me and wear glasses you will have a very difficult time getting your glasses past these face pads. I don't blame the product, maybe I should have done more research but it won't work for me and I won't be using it.

A good replacement for the slightly soaked original.

A good replacement for the original that got slightly sweaty. Allow the original foam to dry while playing. I will definitely order more as it is more hygienic for multiple players. The only thing is that the shape is standard and wider than the headset's bezel. When I tried this there was a gap on either side of the nose which I could clearly see from the outside down. Turning off the overhead light eases distraction while playing.

Imperfect design matches accessories

Bought to be easier to clean than the foams that came with the Vive. Doesn't absorb sweat which is great. It worked fine for a few months, then the backing of the velcro started to peel off and it no longer held in place. The sides are also too thick, preventing users with glasses from using them. I had to trim some edges. in the nose area because the hard plastic rim rubbed against the nose, which was annoying when used. I would suggest buying a VRCover instead as it doesn't have the same…

May be too tight for glasses

I bought them when I first invited people to my house just to play VR; The standard open-cell foam faceplate absorbs a lot of sweat and is generally a nuisance to all but the first participant. With those three, I figured even if we had to trade people, at least I'd have enough to do it. Luckily, with the synthetic rubber coating on the foam of these pads, they don't absorb nearly as much, and that's perfectly fine for being shared between people. That being said, there is one significant…

  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • New competitors appearing

This really is great value for money. I bought these because, for example, my husband and I often play sweaty games on the Vive; BoxVR. Also, we like to set it up when we have company, and it's nice to have a few "guest" cases. They are very easy to clean and do the job well without feeling wet on my face like the standard case does after a bit of a sweat. If you wear glasses you will most likely need to trim the side caps as they are the same thickness all the way around unlike the standard…

Comfortable and easy to care for

I bought this set because my friends were trying virtual reality for the first time. I know I can sweat a little while wearing the Vive headset, so I didn't want other guys to share the sweat all day. The standard pads that come with the Vive are simply foam. They hold moisture like crazy so they can get pretty rough after a long game. However, these 3 pads are covered with soft leather (or leather-like material) that is easy to wash. I also found these ear pads to be much more comfortable than
