I bought them when I first invited people to my house just to play VR; The standard open-cell foam faceplate absorbs a lot of sweat and is generally a nuisance to all but the first participant. With those three, I figured even if we had to trade people, at least I'd have enough to do it. Luckily, with the synthetic rubber coating on the foam of these pads, they don't absorb nearly as much, and that's perfectly fine for being shared between people. That being said, there is one significant downside to using the Vive; It is no longer possible to play with glasses. The hole is a bit narrower, and manually putting the lenses in the hole will bend the legs in a way that's not good for glasses. If you'd rather play VR without glasses or have contacts, that's fine, but be careful not to throw away your standard tablet.
