Review on πŸ“Š CT500 Caltrac Calorie Tracker by Body Max by Dennis Reed

Inaccurate: calorimeter

I wore this on my belt when I went to the gym, I know machines aren't very accurate. I usually use an elliptical and a recumbent. The book that came with it doesn't explain what settings to use with the elliptical, so I tried the settings on the bike first. After about 10 minutes it said I'd burned over 200 calories, so I changed it to the weight setting to see if that was more accurate. Well it wasn't! I then switched to a recumbent and of course used the bike setup. After 2 hours at the gym, this thing told me I'd burned 2,000 calories! I wish it were true, but it's not possible. Machines tell me I burned 1,000 calories in 2 hours, and even those machines tend to overestimate calories burned. The X-Max Caltrac calorie counter was even worse and useless. I sent mine back.
