Installation on my 2003 Navigator was difficult but a lot of fun. Installing a door lock is a technical puzzle. But this study is really good technique. You must remove the power door latch assembly from the latch assembly. This is an "unlock and rotate" operation. You slide a small flathead screwdriver under the latch and slightly lift and rotate the lock assembly to remove it. This will allow you to rotate the door jamb relay 1/4 turn and remove it. The new one goes (back) quickly and easily. The same applies to the electric door lock. The OLD block was sticky with old grease. The door works like new. The light goes out. The radio stays on when it's supposed to. Beep once if it should. Many problems have been solved.
