Before ordering Hygger's High Magnetic Aquarium Cleaner I looked at many reviews. I have a 125 gallon reef tank with fairly thick glass. The strength of the magnets is just enough to clean the glass effortlessly. Yes, it does an excellent job of cleaning glass. Usually just a pass or two (I haven't had any coralline algae on the jar yet). I started with a steel edge but switched to a plastic edge to avoid scratching the glass. After reading reviews and getting cheaper glass cleaners for my QT tanks, do yourself a favor and make sure you get one that floats. I'm not the type to be generous with stars, but this product is hard to fault. I realize this may not be correct if your aquarium has thinner glass. But I can't judge anyway, since I only used it for my aquarium.
