Review on LiftMaster 374UT 🔴 Universal Remote Control, Red/Black by John Snook

Would not program with a relatively new Liftmaster opener (model 8550). Called LiftMaster Technical Support twice, each for more than 30 minutes, to no avail. They advised sending back to Revain and they will send a free replacement direct from their warehouse. The new remote control from the LiftMaster warehouse still cannot be programmed, disappointed to say the least. along with the words "will not program". In a 2016 reply there was a reference to errors in the included programming guide! !Could program in about 5 minutes with new instructions. In the meantime you have bought a second remote control and programmed it without any problems. Here are revised programming instructions that may work with other openers that you may have trouble programming: 1. Start with the garage door closed.2. Put the 374UT into programming mode by pressing the 'bottom' button until the blue LED is solid. This may take longer than 15 seconds.3. Press the "Learn" button on the garage door opener, the light next to the "Teach" button should now be solid. I used to control the wall with my opener to activate the learning mode, but the same concept, the main thing is to light up the learning light with a solid light.4. Press the button (up or down) on the 374UT remote that you want to program to control the door. You will see the blue LED start flashing. DO NOT PRESS THIS BUTTON A SECOND TIME YET - HERE THE MANUAL IS WRONG, PRESSING A SECOND TIME WILL RESET THE PROGRAMMING NOW! WAIT until the light on the door opener flashes and two clicks are heard.5. The blue LED on the 374UT should stop blinking, this may take a few seconds. When it stops blinking, NOW press the button (top or bottom) you are programming for the "second" time.6. The blue LED starts flashing again. Be patient, it may take another 30 seconds to complete the programming. Then the door starts to open.7. Quickly press any button on the 374UT, the door will stop and programming of the desired button is complete. :)
