Read me if you have a Genie Pro Master door opener.

It would be better if I didn't have to spend an hour programming the remote control for the Genie Pro Master garage door opener. Neither the supplied manual nor the website mentions an alternative way of programming the remote control. After almost 20 minutes on the phone with LiftMaster customer service, they figured out how to program the remote. , Immediately press and hold the bottom button until the garage door moves, then release and press the bottom button again. Programming complete…

Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?

Form factor similar to the same model Chamberlin does not have the same flaws. The Liftmaster has a softer activation pressure. I usually carry these remotes in my jacket pocket and operate the garage door when I get on my bike. The camera was so difficult to use that I had to fish it out of my pocket and forcefully press the buttons. The Liftmaster can easily stay in my jacket and can be squashed under a layer or two of Kevlar. Also, the claim on the Chamberlin model was the inability to…

My original visor clicker works like a charm

My original visor clicker works like a charm, no clearance issues. I made this purchase for security reasons and always left the clicker in the car in case my car was ever hacked. The clicker itself is nice and small, about the size of any keychain clicker you would expect. The keys are nice and soft, but press well. Syncing the clicker with the garage opener was an easy task as it syncs automatically if you follow the instructions correctly. My problem with the clicker is that its range is…

Finally it works, here are the instructions.

Now I'm glad I finally got it working. I have an overhead door opener and the instructions weren't precise enough to program it properly. I had to google and sort through very bad tutorial videos. The instructions that worked in the end were for a genius opener. If anyone else needs help, the instructions are similar to the book that came with it, but step 4 and 5. In step 4, after pressing the button to program twice, observe the learn button light on the opener flash for a while, then turn it

Great remote but terrible programming guide

I have a Liftmaster 8550WL so it's compatible. When I followed the instructions on T it didn't work. I spent a good hour trying to figure that out. I even watched their videos on You Tube, no it won't work. Finally I contacted someone on Liftmaster's "online chat" and then it finally worked. Here are the instructions and I hope it can help other poor fellows who are walking. in the same problem as us. I hope I can save you some heartache: - Steps: - 1. Make sure your garage door is closed…

Programming instructions are wrong for my door opener

Would not program with a relatively new Liftmaster opener (model 8550). Called LiftMaster Technical Support twice, each for more than 30 minutes, to no avail. They advised sending back to Revain and they will send a free replacement direct from their warehouse. The new remote control from the LiftMaster warehouse still cannot be programmed, disappointed to say the least. along with the words "will not program". In a 2016 reply there was a reference to errors in the included programming guide…

If you want to program Genie openers see details

I have had 2 garage doors with a Liftmaster on one and a Genie Promax on the other. The Liftmaster programming is impeccable and works like a charm, as do the instructions. Programming on Genius is a headache. I've read a lot of programming reviews on here and got really confused about what we're trying to achieve and ended up using some common sense. I used the exact same technique on two remotes and programmed them for 5 minutes each, where I spent about 45 minutes the day before. First you…
