The filter arrived yesterday and was easy to assemble with a screwdriver. It was an exact size match and fits my 2012 A6 Quattro with a supercharged 3.0 TFSI engine. There is a metal clamp on both ends of the connection hose, loosen both ends and slightly twist this hose to the side. On the back of the airbox is a large round plastic cover that rotates counter-clockwise about a quarter turn. Once unlocked, even the pressure around the cover allows it to be pushed away from the airbox. This exposes the air filter and a round black plastic tube protrudes which is simply pulled out of the filter. Only the standard filter remains and can be rotated to remove the round rubber grommet on the bottom of the filter that fits snugly into the base of the airbox.
