The tool did what it was designed to do which was remove a stripped screw. The tips are made of the strong metal required to grip a stripped screw. Just know that you don't just put it on the screw and the magic will happen. You need to find the point where the screw and tool meet to begin the extraction process. But once that point is reached, it's fairly easy to remove the screw without damaging the motherboard or other vital components in the area you're working on. I used this tool because they are hand tool verses. Using something that requires a drill for fear that the drill will cause the drill to skid and slide across the board, rendering the device useless.
