They did an excellent job.

There was a small broken screw in the laptop's hard drive bay. It was a reduced space. At first I tried using one of these friction pastes but to no avail. I figured I should take a dremmel and most likely damage where the screw was, but I saw these extractors and tried them. God, was I ever happy about that. The screw was removed after several attempts and some effort. Because pullers have a series of "tines" on their end that grip the screw, downward pressure is required to make it move as…

Did the job on my laptop's screws!

I had two loose screws on my optical drive and these tools finally got them out. It wasn't easy, it took a lot of fiddling and trying, but it worked out in the end. I've tried various sizes of mini screwdrivers and JB Weld. I used the largest torx-like tool in this kit and drove it into the stripped screw. I had to do this a few times, and once I had it in pretty well (it would stand up on its own if I let go) I pushed it in and angled it. Simply applying pressure straight down didn't "grab"…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some little things

Essential tool Your technical tool box!

The tool did what it was designed to do which was remove a stripped screw. The tips are made of the strong metal required to grip a stripped screw. Just know that you don't just put it on the screw and the magic will happen. You need to find the point where the screw and tool meet to begin the extraction process. But once that point is reached, it's fairly easy to remove the screw without damaging the motherboard or other vital components in the area you're working on. I used this tool because…

Did the job! - Screwdriver Sets

I needed to replace the connector in my wireless guitar transmitter. The case is held together by four Torx T6 screws, two of which are broken off. I tried using a reverse drill screw extractor but that only made things worse. After reading the reviews about the Moody set, I decided to buy it. At first I didn't think I would be successful. I tried loosening the screws by hand but it didn't work. Then I decided to remove the small part from the handle and put it in my drill. I reversed the drill

Works, kinda incredulous

I can't believe it works. I thought I had damaged my screws to the point of helplessness, and I also thought my situation was unique, but I'm sure most of the reviewers here felt the same about themselves. You see, before I finally gave up using traditional screwdrivers for good, I decided to superglue the screwdrivers to the screw head, hoping that the extra attachment would somehow provide enough extra torque. Yes, stupid, and it got worse. I gave up and bought this moody set. Surprised to…

I saved $130! I didn't even know what a screw extractor was.

I contacted the auto service guys, went to the Toyota dealership, a nice guy from Home Depot got in the back and tried to help me for 10 minutes. No luck anywhere. The problem was with the remote car entry key fob which had the screw snapped off on the back so I couldn't open it to change the battery. So I couldn't lock or unlock my car. Very annoying. The problem with most places was that the screw was too small. I think it was around 3mm to 4mm and no one had any idea. The replacement key fob

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
