I have an old model of this 4 gallon model and love it. But it's getting old and I wanted another one for the store. The best thing about them is the suction power and long cord, and they'll follow you around the house without tipping over like a floor-standing model can. Most other small models will not give you 5 hp. They changed a few things and in my opinion nothing has changed for the better. I read many reviews and some said it's not worth buying. Don't listen to these reviews. It's still a great option for a low-suction portable vacuum. I hate that I had to install a tool box. I didn't know that the wheels are attached to the cart itself. I never used a cart on my old one because I wanted the vacuum to be as small as possible. One reviewer mentioned that the wheels don't turn easily. Well, one of mine doesn't spin freely. I think he will calm down and relax. My old one has two wheels in the front, I like that better than the one front wheel on this one. But I don't think it could tip over because of that. Hose "seems" cheaper, but may be of a different plastic. As long as you're careful not to bend or kink it, you'll be fine. I had to replace the hose on the old one after about 5 years of ownership. Also, it's more expensive than the old one. But that now applies to every subject. Prices go up and quality goes down. My wife loves the tool box so the new one stays at home and the old one goes to the store. I prefer it. The switch on it has been worn out over many years. It will be a pain to fix this, I have a spare gut switch that I never installed. The switch still turns it on and off, but it's loose enough that it's easy to accidentally turn it off during use. I put a toothpick in it so it doesn't turn off during use. I should have bought a second vacuum cleaner a few years ago, it would have been the same as my old one and at a lower price. But I bought it now because who knows if it will be available in the future and at what price. I wanted to give it 3 stars instead of 4 but since it's still a good option for this guy I gave it 4. It deserves an honest 4 from me. The obligatory trolley, the sticky wheel and the higher price prevent me from giving it a 5. My old one got 5 stars. I still love it, even with the worn switch. Covid has dictated what I buy online. I could get a better price at a hardware store during the Christmas sale, but there isn't a craft store near my town. If you want a 4 gallon vacuum with low suction and good suction, then this vacuum is as good as any other brand I've come across. And the 20-foot cord is really handy. Today the brand name Craftsmen means nothing to me. However, the quality has improved over time. I hope this one holds up as well as the old one.
