Rangefinder Ordered Thursday evening, delivered Friday afternoon. After unpacking, I charged the device via a USB socket. After about three hours, the green light went out, indicating that charging was complete. I was able to easily change the unit from meters to yards by holding down the mode switch. Today I took him to a test course. The device was turned on, a crosshair appeared, but the distance was not measured. After several unsuccessful attempts, I turned on the device and pressed the power button again and a circle appeared on the crosshairs and I was able to quickly read the distance to the pen. In the second mode, par 3, he gave me the distance to the pins and added three yards on the slope. When he found the needle, it vibrated, a nice feature. I'll have to use the device for a round or two to see how long the charge lasts. It would be nice not to buy batteries. 6 month update: After using this device for 6 months I can say that I am very satisfied. Works no worse than more expensive devices. It stays charged for a week of golf. You will never need batteries which is why I bought this device.
