The description states that it can operate at "up to 56 Gbps" when in fact it can only operate at up to 40 Gbps (http://www.mellanox.com/page /cables; MC2206130-003 may only work with FDR10, which is 40 GB/s) . Otherwise it's a decent cable. --- Update --- Just wanted to give an update after doing some more testing. These cables only marginally underperformed our AOC 56Gb/s cables, similar to 10Gtek 40G QSFP+ AOC for IBM/Mellanox Active Optical Cable, 3 meters. We achieved 22.8 Gb/s IPoIB with our AOC cables with iperf and 22.3 Gb/s with these copper cables. If you don't want to spend extra money on optical cables and don't need to travel long distances, this is a pretty good cable.
