Review on Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG DN Sony E (322965), Black: High-performance Lens for Sony E-Mount Cameras by Linda Coltharp

I mainly shoot with Canon R5 and RF 85mm f1.2L lens. The RF 85mm 1.2 is one of the most optically advanced lenses on the market. I have an a7iii that I saved for a BTS video and decided to pair this lens with it and I'm very impressed. It outperforms the Sony GM 85mm in image quality and autofocus performance, and is much closer to the specs of my $2,700 RF 85mm than I expected. In all the reviews I was a little skeptical about the serious pincushion distortion this lens causes, but I actually like it. If you're shooting portraits, don't immediately turn on correction in Lightroom. I apply a little distortion correction to some images, but the distortion actually makes the portraits look very flattering.
