I managed to trim and trim the pipe. I attached a rigid pipe vise; The holes in the vise did not line up with the existing holes in this bracket, but drilling the hole in the correct location was not a problem. This mount was very strong. It comes with a bracket that attaches to the receiver, eliminating any gaps you typically have between the receiver and the attachment you are inserting. I was very happy with this mount. The only thing I didn't like was that it could have been a bit longer to allow the tailgate to be lowered and used as a table.
