Although the Jetta 97 OEM pulley is marked with the same part number 028 145 278, it has an outside diameter of 78.33mm (3.084 Customs service). This replacement pulley is only 2.778 inches long. Outside diameter (70.56mm) which moves the tensioner further towards the indicator mark showing it is time to replace the belt.
